What is Masterminding?

Being part of a Mastermind group is like having a personal board of directors. Members raise the bar for each other by challenging beliefs, offering ideas and supporting each other with total honesty, respect and compassion.

The concept was formally introduced by Napoleon Hill in his timeless classic, “Think and Grow Rich.” He believed that you could examine any outstanding success in business and without fail find that behind the success is an individual who belonged to a mastermind group. He describes the principle of Masterminding this way:

“The coordination of knowledge and effort of two or more people, who work toward a definite purpose, in the spirit of harmony.”

In a Mastermind group participation is key. Your peers give you feedback, help you brainstorm new possibilities and help you stay focused and on track. As part of a community of supportive colleagues you gain tremendous insight which can help improve both your business and personal life.

Mastermind groups share the philosophy that more can be accomplished in less time by working together. As Napoleon Hill wrote:

Lightbulb

“No two minds ever come together without thereby creating a third, invisible intangible force, which may be likened to a third mind.”

It is this collective third mind that helps process information down to its essence. It’s where the “Aha!” moments occur. We cannot achieve this on our own as individuals because we have a myopic view of the issue.

With a Mastermind group, there is a more objective view and the possibilities for expansive thinking are endless!
