Frequently Asked Questions
Our Inspired Action™ groups are based on the principles of Masterminding – an important tool that allows for brainstorming, education, accountability, and support.
Each group meets once a month for six months, and we follow a structured, time-honored agenda. Each member is allotted time to discuss a burning business question and receive actionable feedback from the other members of the group. In between sessions we hold office hours so that you don’t have to go a whole month without seeking feedback on an issue.
We find the term ‘mastermind’ is often misused in the business community, oftentimes referring to a general meeting or retreat. We follow Napoleon Hill’s format as discussed in Think and Grow Rich, the book that started it all, and our agenda is focused and time bound ensuring each person has time to discuss their business.
The complimentary session gives us an opportunity to get to know each other – we get to know you and you get to see our style and approach first-hand. Here is what we look for in a member:
- A belief in giving as well as receiving.
- Vulnerability when asking questions of the group.
- A desire to receive authentic input.
- An understanding that all feedback is given with good intent.
Our groups are not determined by type of industry or length of time in business. We believe mix and diversity in a group makes for a much richer masterminding experience. Here is what we look for in individual group members::
- A belief in giving as well as receiving.
- Vulnerability when asking questions of the group.
- A desire to receive authentic input.
- An understanding that all feedback is given with good intent.
We value confidentiality and thus select the members of each group ourselves.
Occasionally we have groups with less than six members depending on the participants.
We find six members to be the ideal group size as this allows us to hold our sessions to 90 minutes and gives each member adequate time in the Queen chair. Additionally, it is easier to get to know each other and each other’s businesses when the group size is relatively small.
Yes, we encourage communication among group members between sessions.
No, only admins can post to the page. However, we believe strongly in supporting women so we will highlight each member and their business during their six-month program.
We encourage members to consider their mastermind group sessions as sacred and encourage everyone to add the dates of the group to their calendars at the time of registration. We do realize that things come up and if it is necessary to miss a meeting, simply email one of us as soon as possible to let us know that you will not be attending. There are no make-up sessions and for confidentiality reasons the meetings are not recorded.
Office hours are conducted via Zoom once per month. We allocate a total of two hours each month and offer 10-minute individual time slots on a first-come/first-served basis. The Zoom link for the office hours will be sent prior to each date and you will join us at your scheduled time.
We are happy for you to continue, though we cannot guarantee the makeup of your group will be the same.
Yes, you can stay in the same group. However, we can’t guarantee all existing members will want to continue. We reserve the right to add new members to complete a group of six participants.
Yes, your credit card will be billed directly.
No refunds are given. See our Terms of Agreement for additional details.
We have never requested that someone leave a group yet we stand firmly with our intention that input be given authentically but with kindness. If we receive negative feedback about a team member we will have a private, one-on-one discussion with them about the feedback we received and make a determination based on the individual’s understanding and willingness to be more conscious of their behavior.
You may have a private conversation with us during office hours.
